Biofib Natural Insulation

Improving the insulation efficiency of buildings is a major issue in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Choosing a "bio-sourced" insulation which is both efficient and natural provides a positive response to ecological concerns. Manufacturers Cavac Biomateriaux control the entire production chain to create a product which they claim is unique in combining technical efficiency with setting an ecological example. Biofib Hemp is a natural, ecological insulation made by overlaying hemp fibres. Available in the form of rolls or semi-rigid batts, it is mainly designed for thermal insulation of residential buildings (walls, roof structures and floors), whether newly built or under renovation.

A combination of the natural properties of hemp and the novel production process means that the product has excellent mechanical resistance and high stability over time. Hemp does not rot or degrade and does not attract rodents.
